The Setting:World Dance Day
The inspiration: Site Specific,interdisciplinary of the arts
The naturalness: meeting of many dance enthusiasts/ artists as dancers, as choreographers,as audience
The objective:to create a new space,sharing and networking,a day dedicated to the dance, provide new opportunities for young artists to create a challenge to initiate a common ground.
TanzTag.10:

This year TanzTag consists of many things. Well-chosen pieces from the areas
contemporary dance, dance theater and performance as well as installations on the subject as movement become compiled and presented. For another piece dancers and musicians will investigate together with technology directly there and shall allow them to originate new concepts.
To all participant artists the rooms in Gewerbepark Breitensee,Goldschlagstr.
172, 1140 Vienna,become during 1 month available and they can work in a generous floor creatively with each other.
Submitted pieces can and should be laid in the rooms,in wich they may investigate and make changes.These different surroundings should be an inspiration and motivation.
For dancers and dance-creatives we have in April a Workshop with Akos Hargitay and a Masterclass with Georg Blaschke offered from them to conquer the rooms.

TanzTag09:
On 29 April 2009, the first time TanzTag09 found its realization in Vienna.
The gallery Kandinsky situate in Lerchenfelderstrasse 13 in Vienna proved to be the best chosen setting venue.
The room equipped with elongated shape and stone floor with bay and large wooden windows was purpose-alienated from us,because now instead of being issued pictures, dancers and performers could (see) present themselves, the adjoining garden and the patio was an active ground for representations.
The presentations of the artists were free to put in the room, meaning that alignments and fronts were moving, changing the space and the public and giving new views, perspectives and ideas to the space. This constant change initiated movement and active participation of the spectators, which created by their choice of the place new structures.
To obtain a diverse range of media, the selected pieces merged with live music, video installation and projection.
