The Collective

 
tanz.coop was launched in March 2009, it was necessary to find a merger for the artistic activity, creative exchange and cooperation and allows implementation and development of different dance projects.​ Since 21 July 2009 formally agreed as tanz.coop verein for arts. Beside the annual TanzTag (Dance Day Celebration) tanz.coop has further Projects and cooperations with different artist.

Gisela Elisa Heredia | Dance & Choreography

Gisela Elisa Heredia was born in Córdoba, Argentina. She studied Contemporary Dance at the Choreographic Platform from the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba in Argentina. After her studies she was member of the Dance Company “Desde el Vamos” and danced with the University Ensemble in many Festivals and Theatres in Argentina. She won two prices at the Festival Latinoamericano de Danza Contemporanea in Argentina.​ 1st Price for best Choreographie Work and Second Price for best Group in Contemporary Dance Technic.

Since 2003 is living in Vienna where she finished her next Study of Pedagogy for Contemporary Dance at the Konservatorium Wien, today MUK.

She works as a freelance dancer and choreographer in different Dance Festivals and Theater Projects and Summer Festivals like Poolbar Festival, MuTh Wien, Tanzhafen Festival, Steirischeherbst, posthof Linz, KUB - Kunsthaus Bregenz, Linz09, Berührungen Tanz Festival - Odeon Theater, ÖTanzt Festival, Tanz Atelier Wien Company, Tanzquartier Wien, TanzTag Wien, Klagenfurter Ensemble, Theater Phönix (Austria), Das tanzfest St. Gallen (Switzerland), Reverie DansFestival (Belgium), Tanzzentrale (Germany), Albania Dance Meeting Festival - Experimental Theater (Albanien), Plesni Theater Ljubljana (Slowenien), Gödör Space (Hungary), Zoom Festival (Croatia), Centro Cultural Espania-Córdoba, Casa Babylon Social Club, Teatro Real, 24 Horas de Arte - Festival de Danza Contemporanea, Danzón - Teatro Comedia (Argentina) and many others.

2009 created the tanz.coop collective to promote and move the dance scene in Vienna, with this label and collective is working as a choreographer and dancer now since 10 years.

In 2016 Gisela received the “Avantgarde Award” for her artistic and choreographic work.

Denise Nguyen I Dance & Artistic Assistance

Denise Nguyen was born 1990 in Vorarlberg. In 2017 she graduated in Contemporary Dance Education at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna. In the course of her studies she gained artistic experience as well as in the projects at Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar Üniversitesi in Istanbul during her Erasmus stay.

Since 2017 Denise has taken over organizational work for tanz.coop and has been working as assistance for the artistic director.

Bianca Braunesberger | Dance

Bianca Anne Braunesberger has been a versatile artist, trained dancer and dance teacher since 2009/ Studied Dance and Dance Pedagogics at Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance Munich & Masterclass Choreography and Dance Theater Helix, Christine M.Krenn. Further training in Yoga / Pilates and Nuad Thai massage complements her love of moving and touching. She works as a freelance dancer, performer and choreographer for own productions as well as a guest dancer at Bavarian States Opera, Nationaltheatre Prague and various companies, such
as tanz.coop Vienna, Static Man Portugal, Tanzkollekticv Equilibrium Linz. As a lecturer she shares her knowledge and interest in movement research with professional dancers and dancers in education on renowned institutes such as
Festspielhaus St. Pölten, Burgtheater Wien, Dock 11 Berlin, Tanzfabrik Linz and Anton Bruckner Private University Linz.Teaching Dance, Yoga & Meditation to groups of teenagers and young adults with difficulties to find work or finish school
in projects of the social ministry of Austria. Working with Theatre Directors and Choreographers such as Jiry Kylian and Romeo Castellucci introduced her to opportunities of realising big visions. "Dance & music as an artistic expression in
times when words are missing" - and if it needs the voice, she interweaves her thoughts into texts with or without a sound carpet, as one half of the Viennese Trip Hop Duo QUOD. Artistic director / choreographer and founder of Cie.tauschfühlung ( Dance & Musiccompany) since 2011. Initiator of the Artist Residenca „THEATRE S>TORIES“ in Upper Austria and the platofrm „Open Space“ Linz as boardmember of RedSapata Tanzfabrik. Working as Fashion/Costumedesigner and Painter since before she started dancing, is ever since supporting the choreographic visions with detailed eyes of visual perception. Cäcilia Färber | Dance

Cäcilia Färber, born in Menden (Sauerland), Germany, got her professional dance studies at the Vienna Private University of Music and Art (MUK) and Escola Superior de Dança in Lisbon.Since her graduation she danced/performed among others with and for Simone Kühle, Thomas Wilhelm, Paulus Manker, Tomohiko Kyougoku, Karin Steinbrugger and Gisela Elisa Heredia/tanz.coop. Since 2014 Cäcilia also takes over organizational tasks and works as assistant for the artistic director. Cäcilia is active in different school projects as pedagogue and choreographer. It is a great pleasure to her to work in cooperation with schools abroad with focus on language-dance correlations.Since July 2016, Cäcilia is certified DanceAbility™ Teacher, too.At the moment she is participating in an education program to become a theatre pedagogue.

Elda Gallo | Dance

Elda Gallo is a freelance dancer and performer, currently based in Vienna.She was born in 1989 in Italy. In 2011 she graduated as a dancer and performer from the School of Drama Paolo Grassi Milano. There she had the luxury to work with choreographers such as Lucinda Childs, Michele Di Stefano, Ariella Vidak, Shen Wei, and to dance at international festivals such as, the Biennale of Venice and Fabbrica Europa Florence.

Between 2013 and 2014 she danced and created for the Italian project Etherotopie organized by Ortopolis and HangartFest.

In 2015 she graduated from SEAD, Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance.

At SEAD Elda met and began to work with the Israeli choreographer Eyal Bromberg. She performed in Bromberg's pieces entitled, No more Bambies, and Waving to Virginia, which was presented in Italy, Austria, Germany, Israel and France.Between 2010 and 2015, Elda was invited various times to the Italian festival HangartFest.

In the last few years she worked for the choreographers: Rebecca Murgi, Tommaso Monza and Masako Matsushita.

Sarah Merler | Tanz

Die aus Südtirol stammende Tänzerin schloss 2016 ihre Ausbildung im zeitgenössischen- und klassischen Tanz an der Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien ab. Seitdem ist sie als freie Tänzerin in Österreich und Italien tätig, wie zuletzt am Stadttheater Bozen als Velma in West Side Story oder bei Ganymed FeMale im kunsthistorischen Museum Wien. Neben ihren Engagements als Tänzerin, erarbeitet sie auch eigene Stücke in Zusammenarbeit mit weiteren Künstlerinnen und beschäftigt sich dabei vor allem mit Kombinationsmöglichkeiten von Text und Tanz. Das Stück Umrisse vom ich oder du war schon im Spektakel in Wien, beim regionalen Tanzfestival Alps Move und in verschiedenen Schulen zu sehen. Außerdem wirkte Sarah bei internationalen Festivals wie Impuls Tanz (Set and Reset (Reset)– Trisha Brown), den Wiener Festwochen (UnderDeSi– Diego Bianchi und Luis Garay) oder bei Bolzano Danza mit.

Zusätzlich zu ihrer künstlerischen Arbeit, ist sie auch im Bereich des Kulturmanagement tätig, wie zuletzt bei den Fesitvals Transart und Alps Move sowie im Bereich des Community Dance.

Yusimi Moya Rodriguez | Dance

Yusimi Moya Rodriguez born in 1987 in Havanna, Cuba. She studied contemporary dance on arts
university (Escuela Nacional de Artes) in Havana. After her graduation as “Dancer and Dance Teacher for Modern and Folkloric Dance” she worked at the “Conjunto Folklórico Nacional de Cuba”, the famous state-run folkloric ballet. Founded after the Revolution their work is dedicated especially to the Afro-Cuban dance heritage. Later she was solo dancer at the dance company Ebony, where ballet, Modern dance and afro-caribbean styles blend together to form the typical Cuban contemporary expression. She worked together with the choreographers Osnel Delgado (Mal Paso), Alberto Mendez (Ballet Nacional) or Isidro Rolando Thondike (Danza Contemporanea de Cuba).
Since 2013 she is living and working in Vienna. She staged her first dance piece on the occasion of “Points of Passage“at Melk Abbey und was awarded a prize as contemporary dancer at the “Wien Welt Wettbewerb“. She received a working grant from the cultural association “Kültürgemma“ and will be showing her new dance piece in 2017. With nadaproductions (Amanda Piña and Daniel Zimmermann) she was dancing at the Impulstanz Festival, Tanzquartier Wien deSingel and STUK,Belgium and Cofestival, Slovenia. She was part of the ensemble of the musical “Carmen Cubana“ at “Deutsches Theater”, Munich, under the choreography of Kim Duddy. She is teaching regularly in Vienna and dance festivals in Europe.

Eszter Petrány I Dance

Eszter Petrány is a Hungarian contemporary dancer, who started dancing at a young age with ballet, jazz and Hungarian folk dance bases in a school where music and dance were integrated in the everyday education. She continued her dance training later in Budapest where she completed a theatrical dancer faculty. From 2012 she was studying contemporary dance and movement studies (dance pedagogy) at Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität in Linz, Austria and completed her bachelor studies there in 2016. Petrány continued her studies as a master student of dance pedagogy from 2016 on, and started to work as a freelancer dancer partly with ongoing projects of Rose Breuss as a company member of C.O.V. (Cie Off Verticality Dance) and as a guest dancer of Landestheater Linz. Her current research topic is musicality and verbality through dance, which is reflected through her 2019 solo of The Diary of Anne Frank, and which she includes through her teaching method as well. Besides dancing she collaborates with local artists for specific projects as The Shore of Unspoken (2017) - which was a narrated short film including motion capture technology, as Christian Heigner’s photography album of collodion photos (2016-2017), or as Villanások (2020) – which was Adienn Örényi’s photo exhibition. Eszter Petrány joined PUC Collective in 2018 and she is currently living and working in Austria as a freelancer dancer.

Anna Possarnig | Dance

Anna Possarnig was born in Klagenfurt in 1987 where she had her first dance experiences. She graduated from the modern and contemporary dance education of Studio an der Wien after the second year of the three-year program. During her studies Anna danced for ULPG and taught Ballet and modern Dance. Afterwards she became a soloist in Neoba Danse company and Barkati Dance Company. In 2011 she danced for Liz King D.ID Cie. And toured Austria with the piece “icarus&newton” - including a performance at “österreich tanzt” at Festspielhaus St. Pölten. Since autum 2012, Anna Possarnig is part of Tanzcoop ensemble and performed in several festivals, for example Tanztag13, Fifoo Festival and Poolbar Festival – Open Space and “Perlzverkehr” Klagenfurt.

In 2013 she started her dance and dance pedagogy studies at Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität. Besides she kept on working and performing with Tanzcoop and additionally joined Company Tauschfühlung which is based in Linz. They performed in Tabakfabrik, in Schlachthof Wels and KuK-Theater in Linz. In spring 2016 she presented her first choreographic work “Heteronomia”.

She is actively teaching in Vienna and Linz and recently became a licensed GYROKINESIS® Method trainer.

Jerca RoŽnik Novak | Dance

Jerca RoŽnik Novak, born in Slovenia in 1992. Started dancing at her age 9 in Slovenia. After finishing Art high school-contemporary dance Ljubljana in 2011 she enrolled in a Faculty of social work, University of Ljubljana. In year 2012 she came to Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität Linz in Austria where she is finishing her 4th year of Contemporary Dance bachelor program. Before coming to Linz in year 2011 she was a part of the project called “The Daddy project“ at Plesni Teater Ljubljana. In 2012 she worked with Willi Dorner in “Bodies in Urban spaces” and Ragnhild Olsen in “Moving Gallery”. 

During studies she took part in projects “Opera Pigmalion” and “Magnifikat” for Cie.Off Verticallity Tanzompany directed by Rose Breuss. In 2014 she worked with editta braun company in project “instant” and with Silke Grabinger for SILK Fluegge in piece “Antifragil” as well as in “HOLD & ONtoME” in 2015. Furthermore, she is part of a piece called “PUSH IT” by DSCHUNGEL WIEN & SILK Fluegge. 

Marina Rützler | Dance

Marina Rützler was born in 1994 in Vorarlberg. At the age of five she already started her dance education in ballet at the musical school in Feldkirch. Later on, she also engaged in modern dancing and show dancing. Since 2013 she has been stuying at the Musik und Kunstprivatuniversität in Vienna and doing her bachelor's degree in contemporary dance pedagogy. Marina has collected various artistical experience throughout the productions of her study programme as well as her erasmus stay in Stockholm.

Katharina Senk | Dance

Katharina Senk, born in Austria. After graduating her studies of „Contemporary and Classical Dance” at MUK-University (former known as Konservatorium Wien) in 2015 she worked with Doris Uhlich, Elio Gervasi, Anton Lachky, Liz King and many others. She started looking for ways to join her interests in body-oriented psychotherapy, neuroscience and epigenetics with her knowledge from the fields of dance, movement, acting and singing. When her first solo-piece „medusa“ premiered in Istanbul at „sanatta görünürlük festivali“ in April 2016, it was the first culmination of those interests. The piece explored body-memory and transgenerational trauma.
Katharinas pedagogical dedication lead to collaborations with Art-University Graz, Dschungel Wien/ImpulsTanzFestival and the association „Ich bin O.K.“ where she was working with people with and without disabilities for many years. Her Bachelor-thesis received an award from the Viennese Municipal Department for Cultural Affairs (MA 7).
Her artistic efforts earned her a training scholarship from Tanzquartier Wien for 2015/16.

Vito Vidovic Bintchende | Dance

Vito Vidovic Bintchende was born in 1994 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. As a teenager he started to discover urban dance styles and soon became more interested into contemporary dance. He studied ballet and contemporary dance at HfMDK Frankfurt and MUK Vienna. In 2017 he won the Expressions Competition and got a scolarship for CNDC Angers. He also won the Fidelio competition thre times and presented his choreographies at various Festivals in Holland, Germany, Italy, Austria, Slovakia and Slovenia. He has worked with choreographers: Regina van Berkel, Cameron McMillan, Saju Hari and studied the repertory of William Forsythe.

Martina Varga | Tanz

kommt aus Eisenstadt, Burgenland. Sie ist seit 40 Jahren verheiratet, hat 2 erwachsene Kinder und eine Enkeltochter. Seit ihrer Jugend interessiert sie sich für Tanz und Theater und besuchte neben ihrer Tätigkeit als Sekretärin Tanz- und Theater-Workshops. Nach ihrer Pensionierung vor 3 Jahren wurde sie Mitglied des „Jungen Volkstheater“. Ausserdem nimmt sie jedes Jahr am ImpulsTanzFestival in Wien teil und war im Werk-X für 2 Spielzeiten engagiert. Der Wunsch etwas Neues auszuprobieren, die Freude an der Bewegung zu Musik, der Spass am Improvisieren führte dazu, dass sie sich beim Casting für mit Mitwirkung bei tanzcoop Wien bewarb. 
Ihr Lebensmotto: „Das Leben schwindet oder weitet sich aus im Verhältnis zum eigenen Mut!“ (Anaïs Nin) zeigt, dass sie immer wieder nach neuen Herausforderungen sucht und sie noch lange nicht am Ziel angelangt ist. 

Andrea Vezga | Dance

Andrea Vezga was born in 1991 in Maracaibo, Venezuela. She moved very young to Costa Rica, where she completed her BA in International Affairs and her BA Degree in Contemporary Dance in the National University of Costa Rica (2014). Upon graduation, she had the opportunity to be a guest choreographer for the Camera Dance UNA Company.

Next to her contemporary dance practice, she has profoundly studied West African dances with masters such as Argelia Arreola, Mouminatou Camara, Christa Fatoumata Sylla, M'bemba Bangoura and many others. Together with master Fred Herrera she participated in the production of the First Iberoamerican Festival of Butoh Dance, in San Jose, Costa Rica. These have been big influences in her dance style and research interests.

Based in Vienna since 2016, she continues to study and develop independent artistic work. In January 2019, she has completed her Master studies in Arts and Science at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.

Christina Zauner | Dance

Born 1995 in Austria, discovered her big passion for dance already in her early years, which brought her to several big stages in Austria and also in front of TV- and film cameras. She graduated from Konservatorium Wien University in 2014. Additionally she learned the Arts of aerial acrobatics in the fields Bungee Wall Running, Aerial Hoop, Silk and Net. These aerial skills brought her to the Vienna State Opera as a „Stunt Double“, in the piece „The Tempest“ flying on a chandelier as a spirit of the air. After her education engagements followed at the Vienna State Opera, the Thunerseespiele as „Victoria“ in the musical „Cats“. Furthermore she performs with her Duet-Acrobatic Partner as „Dazzling Daisies“ on different stages. During her studies she starred in the movie „Im Weißen Rössl“ which was screened in cinemas. Christina could be seen in front of the TV-camera in „Dancing Stars“, „Die Große Chance“, „Eurovision Songcontest“, and with the musical „Tanz der Vampire“ as a guest at the „Helene Fischer Show 2017“.

Sophie Mac Gregor | Young Dancer

ist 8 Jahre alt und besucht die 3. Klasse Volksschule. Mit drei Jahren hat Sophie mit Ballett bei „Dancearts“ (Boris Neblya) zu tanzen begonnen. Seit ihrem fünften Lebensjahr ist Sophie Mitglied der „Shine Company“ (Musicalcompany Lorna Dawson und Jacquline Braun).
